Harris County Appraisal District, Houston, Texas, U.S.A. Description of Services Provided: Large Scale Data Migration - The Harris County Appraisal District is the third largest appraisal district in the United States with over 1.3 million parcels. The implementation of an advanced GIS required the migration of spatial and attribute data existing in the form of over 2000 digital maps. IDENOVO provided database design services, translation software, project management and user training services. The District is currently using the GIS for maintenance of map information relating to property appraisal. In the future, the GIS will interface to HCAD's Computer Assisted Mass Appraisal system (CAMA) residing on a Unisys 2200/400 to provide integrated capabilities for property identification, location recording, and appraisal.
